Lowry Edwards Foster, an acclaimed poet, is pleased to announce the publication of his most recent poetry collection, Light and Life, a profound and meditative look at faith, adaptability, and the human spirit. This new book includes a number of very personal and spiritually contemplative poems that explore the subtleties of inner conflict and the transformational potential of heavenly connection.
His work delves expertly into topics of sorrow, hope, solitude, and community. In “Counter-intuitive,” he explores the internal fights that lead to feelings of powerlessness, as well as the unexpected comfort found in reaching out to others. “Shifting Focus” builds on this exploration by emphasizing the relief gained in releasing personal worries to a greater power. Lowry Edwards’ musings on divine traits in “My Best Thought” take readers on a meditative journey through Yahweh’s persistence, highlighting the comfort of dwelling on eternality.
Lowry Edwards’ remarkable ability to connect personal experiences with universal truths is evident in “A Prayer to the God of My Life,” which contrasts appreciation with entitlement while demonstrating the life-changing effect of living with an open heart. “The Enfolding” offers an intimate glimpse into the author’s connection with the divine, depicting Yahweh as a constant source of comfort and understanding. In “The Fear of Yahweh,” he encourages readers to develop a deeper appreciation and comprehension of God’s diverse character.
The book Light and Life also contains theological thoughts, such as “Why God Names Himself” and “How God Discloses His Name,” which provide a deeper understanding of the meaning of God’s name, Yahweh. These poems combine scholarly inquiry with lyrical elegance, making complicated religious themes understandable and emotionally engaging. The author’s moving reflection on the meaning of Easter in “Resurrection Day” encourages readers to focus on spiritual truths, while “Glory” offers an entirely novel perspective on divine manifestations.
Lowry Edwards Foster’s latest poetry collection in the book Light and Life takes readers on an emotional and transforming journey, encouraging them to explore their mystical depths and find peace in the divine’s eternal presence.
